established by husband and wife team, Bruce and Chyka Keebaugh in 1990 with the intention of bringing a fresh and original approach to the Melbourne catering scene.

Bruce and Chyka are actively involved with the daily operations of the organisation. Bruce oversees The Big Group corporate and private client activities with Chyka concentrating her creative energy on The Design Depot and the operation of the companies new retail business, Capital Kitchen at Chadstone Shopping Centre.
The Big Group’s executive team is well established and is comprised of proven hospitality leaders. The workforce of The Big Group comprises over 600 employees, 65 of which are full-time located at the Richmond head office, warehouse and catering kitchen or our CBD sales and marketing office.
The Big Group’s work ranges from managing exclusive function venues, to having a major events department that cater for premium events for the Top 500 corporations, government departments and various private individuals. On any given day the company is servicing multiple Melbourne boardrooms with day to day catering services and would produce up to 7,500 events annually.
